Thomas Cranmer Competition

Posted in School News

On Saturday nine students from King William's College and The Buchan School took part in this year's Thomas Cranmer Competition. Reading extracts from The Book of Common Prayer, participants are judged on their delivery and understanding of the text.

Congratulations go to The Buchan's Lily who was awarded first place in the Junior Competition.

Meanwhile, in the Senior Competition, KWC's Stefan, Noon, Alexandra, Kasia, Catalina, Carla, Jemima and Laine were all commended for their superb performances. Following some difficult deliberations, Alexandra Kirin received the second place prize and Jemima Shepherd was awarded first place.

Jemima now has the honour of representing the Isle of Man in the National Finals which will take place in Lambeth Palace in February.
