The U13 boys took part in the annual Ralston Shield this weekend, named after Chris Ralston (OKW 1958-61) who played on the 1974 'Invincibles' British Lions tour to South Africa.
Some below par performances meant that the boys just missed out on the final. However, some valuable lessons were learned along the way. Two wins and a draw on day one set KWC up nicely, but a defeat to a skillful Packwood side on day two put pay to our chances of progressing. Well done to both Packwood (runners up) and Castle Rushen (winners) who contested an entertaining final.
Thanks must go to everyone who hosted the Packwood students. They were extremely grateful for the hospitality that they received. We look forward to visiting Packwood next term.
