On 27th March, ten Lower Sixth students travelled to Menton, France to attend the Mediterranean Model United Nations (MEDMUN) on international security (focusing on child soldiers and freedom of the press). When I first planned this trip and had 9 students coming along, these students had no prior knowledge of MUN. In the span of 2 months we had several sessions and training and they managed to not only be more acquainted with MUN but they were ready for an international conference. We were all a part of the UN General Assembly, the biggest council with 46 delegates. Throughout the three debate days, I witnessed the skills they learnt come to life. This trip was a huge learning curve. We all stepped out of our comfort zones, bonded with others and made numerous memories.
