On the 28th of June, a few prospective lawyers from the Lower Sixth took a break from the intense Model UN negotiations to take part in a Law Moot run by OKW Amelia Quinn from M&P Legal. The students were given a case and had to prepare 3 submissions, either as an applicant or a respondent, and then present their argument in a mock court. The task was a fantastic opportunity for everyone as it gave the studants a taste of how to read and interpret the law in favour of their case, before standing up and presenting their argument to the judge.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the process and learnt an awful lot, even though it was crammed into an already exceptionally busy week!
Thank you to Miss Quinn and M&P Legal for offering us such a wonderful and unique opportunity!
