Sure's first ever bursary for women hoping to pursue a career in STEM has been awarded to Gemma Tipper (U6).
Gemma has plans to study for a Master's in computer science at the University of Bath this September.
Chosen for her knowledge, extra-curricular work placements and forward-thinking attitude, the HR Director at Sure says the company was blown away with Gemma's application.
She will receive £1,500 a year to support her studies, and have six weeks paid work experience with Sure every year throughout the bursary.
Sure hopes the initiative will help boost female representation in the STEM industry, which, according to Women In Tech, has stalled to just 22% in the UK.
