Bursary requests are considered on a case by case basis. Applications are means-tested and reviewed annually and focus on the financial circumstances of the family. Bursaries are normally limited to a range of 10% to 30% of the day tuition fees.
Most siblings join us at King William's College and The Buchan School. The first sibling of a student already in the School will receive a 10% Award; other siblings will receive a 30% Award.
A reduction of one third of the fee for boarders and one half of the fee for day pupils is allowed to children of clergy holding a benefice or Bishop's licence and residing in the Isle of Man. There is a similar arrangement for children of Methodist Ministers.
A reduction of 15 per cent is allowed for serving members of the Armed Forces of the Crown. Once a pupil is accepted, the reduction continues even though the parent may leave the Services.
For more information regarding bursaries and other policies please contact the External Relations Office.
Our son has been at King William’s College for two years and has settled in very well with the full support of the boarding staff and teachers, who have demonstrated great kindness and caring. The highly disciplined, but dynamic education system has helped our 15 year old son to adapt well and his confidence has noticeably improved in a short space of time. What's especially pleasing is that not only does the College have an excellent calibre of teaching staff and a strong academic curriculum, but we have been surprised and delighted to discover their excellent music achievements! With such great experience, our second son will also join KWC starting at Lower 5, to have a well rounded education. We cannot be more pleased with our decision to send our sons here all the way from Hong Kong!M5 Overseas Parent
