Special Musicians in Assembly Concert

Posted in School News

Today our first special concert took place this morning. Our musicians played for their parents and Prep children. Our singers are being taught their Guild pieces in and out of school and today was a good platform for them to perform their pieces in front of an audience. We enjoyed their singing and wish them well with their preparations and actual performances at the Guild at the end of April, beginning of May.

Our concert began with Eleanor wowing us with her playing of her electric guitar. Three of our younger Prep pupils sang ‘Let’s Go Fly a Kite’ with five girls singing ‘Part of Your World’ and the older boys singing ‘Singing in the Rain’.

As a slight change from our singers Bradley played ‘Talk to the animals’ followed by Phoebe T playing ‘Prelude’ beautifully on the piano.

A new class for the Guild is the duet class. Alicia and Millie sang ‘The Seagulls Song’ followed by Jacob and Isaac K singing ‘Music Makes The World Go Round’ in complete contrast.

Our morning concert ended with Shelton playing the theme tune from ‘The Muppets’ on his violin.

We were proud of all the performances and that the children had such an appreciative audience of Prep children and parents to sing to.
