Song for peace and unity with one day one choir.

Posted in School News

Thursday 21st September.

'A Peaceful World'.

The original music was written by school teachers Jan and Randy Prichard while living in Scotland. The song has been sung by many school choirs.

The whole of the Buchan school together with the staff and parents with younger family members rehearsed and recorded their version of the song. The 'Chamber Choir' sang some parts of the song on their own to add contrast and effect to the overall performance.

The recording was sent to the 'One Day, One Peace' Facebook page, the composers and to Judith Ley from Manx Radio for her 'Sundown Programme'.

One day one choir is an inspiring global peace initiative which uses the harmonious power of singing together to unite people around the world on Peace Day.

The aim is to create the largest choir in the world, singing for unity and peace.

The lyrics of the song are very powerful and I have included them for you all to read.

Peaceful World
CHOIR
We see a peaceful world in unity
And we sing a song of love and harmony
ALL
We see a peaceful world in unity
And we sing a song of love and harmony

No more hate and no more fear
No more pain no more tears
Coming together one and all
Hand in hand across the land

We see all people of the earth at peace
And we see our future world safe and free

No more hate and no more fear
No more pain no more tears
Coming together one and all
Hand in hand across the land
CHOIR
We shall live in peace
No more hunger and no war
All suffering will cease
Love shall reign for evermore
ALL
We see a peaceful world in unity
And we sing a song of love and harmony

We see a peaceful world in unity
And we sing a song of love and harmony
CHOIR
We see a peaceful world in unity
And we sing a song of love and harmony
