Twenty two members of the Buchan 'Chamber Choir' sang incredibly well at the 'Barbican Centre' in London.
The children arrived early and had rehearsals all day. Mr Moore and Miss Winstanley ably assisted me and we sang with them and looked after them for the whole day.
The children enjoyed their day. Everyone including the staff were exhausted but so pleased to have been part of such a fabulous and successful event which raised a lot of money for Barnardo's.
All the children looked fabulous in the grey Barnardo's T shirts with their colourful rainbow on the front with 'Music is joy' written on it and balloons flying in the air.
The concert ended with all the adults singing 'Land of Hope and Glory' followed by everyone singing together. The children in our group held the Manx flags I had printed out alongside ones that they had brought with them.
The event was a great success enjoyed by all and one which the children will remember all their lives for the friendships made and for the joy of singing with so many different choirs from schools in England.
