Within King William’s College and The Buchan School, a team has been established to support the School’s development, build relationships with alumni, and engage with our wider community.
The Development Committee was set up in 2013 to perpetuate a culture of giving within the School. Its role is to reach out to a broader audience of donors, whether they are alumni, parents or anyone with a connection to or interest in the School. Sammy is keen to underpin a thriving events programme, so that past, present and future School associates can become more actively engaged, feel a close connection with the School and see its ongoing development.
As King William's College and The Buchan School's Head of External Relations, Kara manages the marketing, pupil recruitment and admissions, development and alumni relations. This is a wide-ranging remit, but ties together all aspects of the School's communication and relationships with students, alumni, parents, Governors and Trustees and the wider community. A Chartered Marketer, Kara works to build on the School's existing legacy, developing strategy that will keep the School at the forefront of independent education.
Rebecca is the point of contact for any enquires relating to alumni programmes and fundraising. Certified with the Institute of Fundraising, Rebecca manages the day to day administration of development and alumni activity, including events, the maintenance of the alumni database and the School archives.
