Our Parents’ Association, Friends, work hard to build strong community relationships through their events. Their fundraising is also vital in supporting a range of projects that improve the educational experience of all our students.
FRIENDS
Friends at Buchan and King William’s College is a strong and dedicated committee of parents, teachers, alumni and supporters whose aim is to build community spirit and raise funds to benefit the School. While our School provides pupils with the essentials for learning, Friends endeavour to facilitate those added extras which benefit the whole school and wider community. Friends also encourage our community to mix together through a wide variety of social and fundraising events and activities, such as the Christmas Fair, Summer Ball and various other events held throughout the year.

PAST PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION
Our community is part of what makes King William’s College and The Buchan School so special. Parents play such a vital role in school life and it is important that we maintain that connection, even after their children have left.
As a member of the Association you will be invited to school events, including the Christmas Carol Services, school plays and sports fixtures, as well as to a number of alumni events. You will also be kept up to date with school news through a termly newsletter and can request a copy of the Barrovian magazine from the External Relations Office.
The Association is open to all past parents and as a parent you will automatically become a member when your children leave the school, unless you choose to opt out. There is no charge to join. Communication with members will be done primarily by email, so please keep this up to date by contacting the External Relations Team.
