At King William's College and The Buchan School we welcome enquiries from prospective students and their families of all ages and nationalities.
For general enquiries, to arrange a visit, order a prospectus or for further information, please contact our Admissions Registrars in the External Relations Office at email@example.com or telephone +44 (0)1624 820110.
The first step in the process is to contact the School for a discussion about your child's educational requirements. An information pack, which contains our registration form, prospectus, fees, term dates and details of our Open Events, Scholarships, Bursaries and Assisted Places Scheme, is available on request.
We would then ask for you to send a completed Registration Form, which can be downloaded below, to the External Relations Office. This ensures your child's name is included in the provisional entry lists.
The next step is to arrange a visit where you and your family will be given a comprehensive tour of the School and meet with our Principal and academic members of staff at a time that is convenient for you and tailored to your child's interests.
Our taster days and overnight stays are also a wonderful way for your child to experience life at the College on a normal working day and can be arranged any time during the School year. Your child will be teamed up with a 'buddy', who will escort them to lessons and introduce them to other students and our teachers. They can enjoy lunch, take part in some sport or join an academic club. Our taster days are bespoke and can be arranged around your child's interests.
If a visit is not possible, please contact the External Relations Office to arrange a Skype interview with the School.
Under normal circumstances, pupils move from our junior school The Buchan School to our senior school King William's College, but in all other cases a full report from the Head of your child's current school is normally required. The firm offer of a place follows receipt of this satisfactory report.
For entry to the Sixth Form to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma, current school reports and a personal statement must be forwarded before a visit can be organised and a short test will be taken by applicants on the day of the visit. The formal offer of a place, if applicable, follows very shortly.
All information regarding our admissions process, along with the relevant forms to be completed, are available in our Admissions Guide, which can be requested from our Admissions Registrars or downloaded via the link at the bottom of this page.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to King William's College!
Pupils looking to join King William's College from countries outside the EU will require a Visa. Please contact the External Relations Office for further details or visit the Isle of Man Immigration Office website for guidance for student applications for Tier 4.

I loved King William’s College from the start. I made up my mind within an hour of our time there that I wanted my son to attend. You have to come to College to understand what makes it stand out from the rest. It is a place of genuinely caring and friendly people. Another aspect of College we love is its vast international community. Our son has made some great friends and as a result has come to appreciate and respect other cultures and traditions. Our son loves College. He loves the independence to make choices, the easy access he has to his tutors, the opportunity to make his own mistakes and learn from them, but most of all, he loves the fact that expert assistance is always a breath away.U5 Overseas Parent
