Class size

Our average class size is 15, reducing to 10 in the Sixth Form.
Pupil-teacher ratio of 1:8.

Results 2016

IGCSE - 47% A*/ A grades and 94% A*-C.
IB - Average 32.5 points, with eight pupils achieving 40 points or more.


We offer Academic Scholarships and Drama, Music and Sports Awards for entry into Year 7 and Year 12.

International Baccalaureate

We are one of the largest and most successful International Baccalaureate schools in the British Isles.
Entry requirement: Six IGCSEs grade C or above.


Our students go on to leading universities, including Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Oxford and UCL and institutions in China, Germany and the USA.

The boarding community represents 30% of the College population.


Approximately 18% of our students are international, representing over 17 nationalities. Our overseas students are fully integrated.

Faced with the difficult choice of our daughters remaining at a perfectly good state school in the Isle of Man, we chose to send them to King William’s College to study the International Baccalaureate.
