On 4th July, 41 of us from the Upper Fourth and Lower Fifth Forms together with 6 members of staff embarked on a PGL Water Sports trip to La Fosca on La Costa Brava in Spain. The weather was fantastic! It was hot and sunny everyday. We had three fantastic groupies Kate, Joe and Ridler who made the week very special and all the instructors were fun, lively, kind and helpful.
Everyday, we did different activities such as kayaking, canoeing, sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing, jumping from rocks and went on a banana boat ride. We also spent a day in Waterworld, one of the biggest water theme park in Europe.
We went to Tossa De Mar, where we all ordered an ice-cream in Spanish under Mrs Bailey-Barnes‘ supervision. At night, we always had things to do and we never had a chance to get bored. We took part in beach Olympics, Splash and other activities and then we all went to the Disco. On the Friday night, we all took part in the Talent show competition with three other schools and we won it!!! The whole week has been a blast and it was a very good way to start the summer and to spend time with our friends.
We would like to thank Mrs Bailey-Barnes for organising the trip and Mr Moore, Mr and Mrs Ross, Mr Allegro and Miss Heckel for looking after us for a week. It has been a memorable experience and we will never forget it!
