The Fifth Form looks after the pupils' needs for years nine, ten and eleven.
Each pupil has a large locker in which they can store their books and belongings and pupils are requested to provide their own padlock. The Fifth Form Centre has a pool table and several areas of seating as well as a quiet room for personal study, a tutor room for the duty tutor and the Head of Fifth Form's study.
The tutor groups are remixed and the tutor they are assigned to will be their tutor for the next three years and see them through to GCSE. The tutor is responsible for the academic and social well being of the pupils and is the first port of call for parents and guardians. As they are the interface between the school and the home, it is hoped that tutors, pupils and parents will build up a rapport over the three years.

The tutor groups have no relation to the academic sets and contain a mixture of the sexes and abilities. Each group has between 12 and 15 pupils. Pupils see their tutors twice a week for a 20 minute tutorial meeting and they can consult them during the week at any time. On a Monday the year group has a meeting and on each Wednesday the year group has a service in the Chapel.
When pupils enter Lower Five (Year 9) they may choose to take up an extra language. At the moment the choice is Latin or Spanish. Those who do not want to study a language have extra games lessons.
At the end of Lower Five, pupils are asked to make their choices for the options they will take for GCSE. These option subjects are studied in conjunction with the core subjects of English, Science, Maths and French. Pupils cannot choose to study Spanish or Latin at this stage unless they have been studying them in the Lower Five but they can decide to drop the extra language.
