A dramatic end of term

Monday 26 July 2010

Towards the end of the Summer Term, the Fourth Form performed 'The Vackees' based on the book by Hiawyn Oram - a superb play about the evacuation of children to the countryside during the Second World War. This evocative and hard hitting drama was enhanced by the use of video footage, poignant, haunting melodies and superb acting. The performers really brought the plight of the children and the wider issues alive.

This was a very slick production with many short scenes and not a cue was missed or an entrance fluffed. Toby Wiltcher, as Kip, was nothing short of stunning and deservedly gained the loudest applause. Many other characters deserve mention - but suffice to say, the future of drama at KWC is looking very rosy with so much talent at such a tender age!
