On Sunday 27th June a group left King William's College for the first College Pilgrimage. In every sense this was a modest affair, as we were not walking to Rome or Jerusalem, but to St Michael’s Keiill on Langness.
Frank Cowan (himself an OKW) let us in, and told us what is known of the history of the place. We then went on to the fort, which he also opened for us. Here we had a simple service, and ate our picnic lunches, before heading home. Many thanks to all who took part, and to Frank for helping us out. We hope to make this an annual event – at least next year there will be no risk of clashing with an important World Cup match!
