Opened in 1996, the Dr Scholl Library is a fine facility central to the intellectual, academic and cultural life of the pupils. It provides a quiet place for study, research and leisure reading.
The library has a stock of over 28 000 books reflecting the needs of the school curricula and the ever increasing demands of the IB. Inter-library loans are frequently made through the British Library. Subscriptions to newspapers, journals and magazines support both academic and recreational interests.
The library can seat sixty and has fourteen computers with most pupils using their own laptops. Sixth form boarders have access to the library in the evenings and over the weekends.
Lunchtime chess is popular, and the display area is frequently used to showcase pupils’ work.
