The Buchan School

The Buchan provides the finest independent education in an idyllic and tranquil setting. Our vision statement; ‘aim for excellence in all things’ forms the basis to all of the teaching and learning at the Buchan School. The school was founded by Lady Laura Buchan in 1875 and has developed an excellent reputation for academic excellence and achievement in the Performing Arts. The school is located in the historic Castletown area of the Isle of Man, with its ancient castle and picturesque harbour setting. The main school reception is located in a Georgian house within 14 acres of private grounds.
